Years ago I read that Eddie van Halen, upon the passing of Stevie Ray Vaughn, was asked how it felt to now be the greatest guitar player on Earth...he reportedly replied
"I have no idea. Ask Bruce Cockburn."
which says a lot about Eddie...
The other day I read that the question was originally directed at Jimmy Hendrix...who answered.
"I don't know. Ask Rory Gallagher."
